Four MCC Soccer Standouts Sign To Play at Next Level

Four members of the Meridian Community College soccer program have signed a National Letter of Intent to continue their playing careers at four-year universities.

Defender Lexi Felder, Richland High School, Mississippi University for Women. Felder started 11 games during the 2018 season and was an MACJC All-Star.

Defender Ryan Dedeaux, Brandon High School, Delta State University. Dedeaux started 11 games during the 2018 season and was an MACJC All-Star.

Defender Henry Shade, Laurel High School, William Carey University. Shade started 10 games during the 2018 season.

Defender Yorch Atencio, Laurel High School, William Carey University. Atencio started 10 games during the 2018 season.

“All four of these players exemplify what kind of kid we want in our program. We wish them well and they are going to be very hard to replace.” Said Coach Mike Smith.

The 2018 Lady Eagles finished the season with a 4-11-1 record, while the men finished the year with a 2-14 record.
