The Eagles fall to 7-12,2-8, with the 81-69 loss to the visiting Hinds Community College Bulldogs.
Both teams came out ready to play Thursday night, and for much of the first half, it was a back in forth game. With 4:31 left to play in the first half, the Bulldogs were up 3 23-20. However, they would slowly stretch their lead into a halftime score of 37-26.
The second half was pretty evenly matched as both teams traded baskets. The Bulldogs were led Dontrell McQuarter, who had a game-high 19 points, to pace the Bulldogs to the 12 point victory. The Eagles were led by Justin Brown, who had a team-high 16 points and Lorenzo Waddy, with 15. Iverson Smith and Alvarez Powell both finished the night with 10 points.
The Eagles will travel to Perkinston, MS, to face Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Monday, February 10, at 7:30 p.m.
