Men's Basketball picks up MACCC honors

JACKSON – The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) today announced its 2022-2023 Men's and Women's Basketball All-MACCC teams and postseason awards. The awards were voted on by a panel of the MACCC's men's and women's basketball coaches.

Chris Terrell was named team All-MACCC. He leads the Eagles at 17.4 points per game and is the third-best in the MACCC. Chris shot 46% from the floor and 35% from 3-point range. This is just the latest award for Chris Terrell after being named Region 23 tournament MVP last Sunday in Clinton, MS.

Randarius Huges was named second-team All-MACCC. He averaged 11.4 points and 9.6 rebounds per game. Hughes was recently named to the Region 23 All-tournament team.

The Eagles are currently 20-8 overall and finished 8-6 in MACCC play. MCC won the Region 23 championship for the first time since the 1998-99 season and is set to play in the NJCAA National Tournament March 20-25 in Hutchinson, KS.
