Hurst demonstrated her commitment to promoting diverse and inclusive practices within athletics while effectively addressing related issues.
Hurst's coaching journey began as a graduate assistant coach at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA. In her senior season, Hurst played a pivotal role in securing the program's first NCAA Tournament victory since 1999, leading the team to an upset victory against the third-seeded Wingate. Her outstanding athletic achievements were complemented by her inclusion as an All-Academic team member for the Conference Carolinas.
