The Lady Eagles softball program enters the 2025–26 season under the direction of Head Coach Brad Grinstead, who returns for his fourth year at the helm. MCC will play its second season at Tommy McDonald Field, located inside the Citizens National Bank Sports Complex. Grinstead is assisted by Kevin Kennedy and Gage Billings as the Lady Eagles look to build on their inaugural season at the new facility and push for a postseason berth.
MCC Softball returns eight sophomores from last year's roster, including two players who missed the start of last season due to injury and are expected to provide leadership this spring. The Lady Eagles also welcome nine new faces to the program. MCC has 56 games scheduled, including 32 home contests, along with a trip to Youngsville, Louisiana, for the Mardi Gras Tournament. Conference play opens Saturday, March 7, against Northeast, with doubleheaders scheduled against all 14 MACCC opponents.
On the baseball side, Head Coach Dillon Sudduth returns for his 14th season leading the Eagles. Sudduth brings back assistant coach Jarod Parks and adds Matthew Jones to the staff. MCC will open the season at the Panama City Beach Tournament in Florida before returning home to open play at Scaggs Field on Friday, February 6, against Reid State.
The Eagles return 12 sophomores from last season's roster, which advanced to the Region 23 Tournament in Poplarville, while also welcoming 23 newcomers eager to make their mark. MCC Baseball has 51 games scheduled, with conference play beginning Wednesday, March 11.
Individual tickets for all home softball and baseball games are available online for $8, while tickets purchased at the gate will be $10. Season tickets are also available for fans looking to follow the Eagles all year long. Tickets can be purchased online at mcceagles.com/tickets.
